However we can give no warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of the content of this web site. Hence we accept no liability for any losses or damages (whether direct, indirect, special, consequential or otherwise) arising out of errors or omissions contained in this web site.


Retail Theft Control reserves the right to update, add, amend, remove, replace or change any part of the web site content, including but not limited to functionality and navigation at any time without prior notice.

Retail Theft Control shall not be liable for distortion of data arising from any technical fault including transmission errors, technical defects, interruptions, third party intervention or viruses.

Although our preferred local suppliers have privacy policies, you accept that some third parties can be located overseas and may not have in place equivalent privacy policies. Terms & Conditions of Sale

Enforcement of Conditions

These terms of trade shall apply to all invoiced supplies and quotations issued by Retail Theft Control (RTC) unless amended in writing by an officer of Retail Theft Control.
By accepting delivery pursuant to any purchase order placed on RTC, the buyer accepts the terms and conditions contained herein.

Payment Terms

Payment to approved accounts is strictly net 14 days from the date the products were invoiced. Alternatively, cash, cheque, credit card or a direct deposit is required with order prior to dispatch.

Prices

Prices quoted in writing by RTC will be firm for a period of 30 days from date of offer. Listed prices are subject to change without notice. Prices exclude GST and freight unless stated otherwise.

Goods & Services Tax (GST)

GST at the prevailing rate will be added to the cost of goods and freight on the invoice, except on exports.

Title of Goods

Title of the goods shall only pass to the buyer following full payment and clearance of any payment of the relevant invoice. RTC retains ownership of said goods and reserves the right to reclaim these goods from the buyer's premises if the invoice is not paid within the terms of this contract.

Transport

Freight costs for all items sold by RTC is the responsibility of the buyer. In order to keep freight costs as low as possible, RTC has negotiated low freight rates based on high volume and uses these preferred carriers unless specifically requested by the buyer. RTC will pre-pay the freight costs to its preferred carriers and will add these costs to the buyer's sales invoice.

Freight costs for specific carriers requested by the customer cannot be pre-paid. They must be 'freight collect'.

In either case above, responsibility for the goods passes to the buyer once the goods pass to the freight carrier. Insurance liability is therefore that of the buyer.

Consumer Guarantees

Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL) legislation, buyers have the right to ask RTC for a repair, replacement or refund in certain circumstances such as (but not limited to) when the goods sold are faulty, do not match a description or sample provided or do not fit the intended purpose. In the event of a problem arising, the buyer should contact us (contact details on this page) so that appropriate arrangements may be made to remedy the problem. Often the problem may be remedied over the phone and not constitute a fault.
The buyer accepts liability for all freight cost incurred in the return of goods for repair, replacement or refund.
Goods which have been modified by the buyer, damaged through incorrect installation or usage, tampered with, subjected to malicious damage or in some other circumstances may not be covered by this guarantee.
Products sold by RTC are intended for the purpose of helping to discourage and hinder theft of certain assets and not guaranteed to stop losses by theft or otherwise. Supervision of the buyer's valuable assets is still the buyer's responsibility. Certain products sold by RTC, such as adhesives, are intended for a single application only ie they are not re-usable.
RTC has no legal obligation to offer exchanges or refunds where a buyer changes their mind. However, we may with prior agreement at our discretion, agree to exchange or give a refund less a 20% re-stocking fee providing the buyer returns the goods, at their expense, within 7 days in as-new re-saleable condition.

Back Orders - Account holders only

Goods not in stock at the time of receipt of order placed on RTC will automatically be placed on backorder, unless otherwise requested.

Cancellations of Orders

RTC will not accept any cancellation of orders unless by prior arrangement. Orders for special or custom built products cannot be cancelled once production has commenced.

 

Returns Policy

How to return your defective Retail Theft Control products:

  • Please contact our customer service team to discuss your situation and for the issue of a return authority (RA) number. All returns must have a RA number.
  • Any item that is returned to Retail Theft Control without an RA number will be returned to sender.
  • Please ensure that your RA number is clearly displayed on the return packaging and include a copy of the invoice issued at the time of purchase.
  • For defective products the return must be received by Retail Theft Control within (14) fourteen days of the RA number being issued.
  •  A 20 percent re-stocking fee will apply to goods that are non-warranty returns.
  • Freight costs to return items to RTC is the responsibility of the customer.
  • Retail Theft Control will pay all freight charges associated with sending replacement products to you.
  • Replacement product(s) will be shipped only after the faulty item has been received by Retail Theft Control.

Delivery Instructions and Time Frames

Subject to stock availability, orders shall be dispatched within two (2) business days once RTC has received your payment, from RTC's warehouse to the purchaser's delivery address.

All freight costs will be borne by the purchaser and are not refundable. These costs may include insurance, import and export duties, and any other fees or charges imposed by government agencies or officials.
Payment of any redelivery fee that is imposed by the freight carrier as a result of no authorised person being at the delivery address at the time of delivery to accept the delivery is the responsibility of the Buyer.
